Vivian qualified as a pharmacists in 2019 and is currently working in the institutional sector.
She first began her career in a community setting, where her passion for patient centered care flourished. Driven, by her desire and commitment to improving healthcare outcomes, she pursed further research by completing her PhD.
Vivian displays a high standard of professionalism and clinical proficiency as a pharmacist. Her unwavering dedication to patient care, coupled with her understanding of the complexities of pharmaceutical care has cultivated her genuine passion for improving patient outcomes.
Vivian has played a pivotal role in driving positive change within the pharmacists profession in a South African context through her research. Her research area has the potential to shape the evolving role of pharmacists in South Africa under Universal health coverage. Policy interventions in South Africa and other Low-and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) have often been implemented by government agencies without proper monitoring or documentation of actions. Hence her research findings provides insight to guide further regulations in both South Africa and other Low-and Middle-Income countries. Her research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed international academic journals.
Beyond her professional achievements, Vivian is a person of integrity, compassion, and empathy. Her dedication to serving the needs of our community extends beyond the walls of a pharmacy, as she is actively engage in research and education initiatives aimed at promoting health and wellness.
